The Department of Mathematics in the College of Arts & Sciences at Baylor University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position to start in August 2026. Applications must be completed and received no later than November 1, 2025.
We are seeking candidates with research and teaching interests in any area of topology, broadly construed, who will contribute positively to the department's culture of outstanding research, innovative teaching, and dedicated service to our undergraduate and graduate students. Candidates will demonstrate a successful research record, plans for further developing their research program, and potential for obtaining external funding. In addition, successful candidates will demonstrate their potential as a teacher and as a research mentor at both the graduate and undergraduate level.

Once requested, a blank letter will be created under applicant’s Materials section which then MUST be attached to the Confidential Letter of Recommendation or Evaluation requirement in the Documents section of their application. These (blank) letters do not need to be finalized by recommenders in order to be attached by the applicant. Applicants will not be able to view confidential letters but will still be able to attach them to applications. If a letter has not been completed by the recommender by application submission, applicants will receive a notification once the letter is received in Interfolio.
