Baylor University seeks to fill The Danny and Lenn Prince Chair in Social Work to start August 2026. This endowed faculty position is at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor within the Diana R. Garland School of Social Work and will demonstrate a substantial scholarship program in gerontology and a commitment to the educational preparation of social workers. Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

Required:

  • an earned research doctorate,
  • an enthusiasm for the mission of the Diana R. Garland School of Social Work,
  • a strong record of effective teaching,
  • a strong record of service/student engagement, and
  • a demonstrated ability to pursue a rigorous research agenda with commensurate publications and external funding with an emphasis on the care of older adults.

An MSW from a CSWE-accredited program and a minimum of two years post-master’s professional experience is preferred.
