Job Title: Machinist

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated CNC Operator responsible for the timely and accurate production of metallic machined parts according to shop traveler specifications and requirements. The operator will ensure error-free processing of each order while completing necessary paperwork and computer data entries associated with the CNC production process.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, clean, setup, load, and unload the CNC Router.
• Effectively and efficiently carry out production processes, including receiving orders from the Production Planner, allocating and loading materials into the machine, inspecting products, and processing jobs through the system.
• Maintain an organized and clean work area, ensuring quality meets customer specifications.
• Regularly clean and maintain equipment and machinery.
• Program and troubleshoot CNC Router functions.
• Adhere to safety rules, regulations, quality standards, and procedures.
• Cross-train other team members as assigned.

Essential Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Two or more years of machine operating experience.
• Intermediate or higher CNC operation experience.
• Proficiency in reading and math skills.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Computer skills.
• Ability to measure using different tools.
• Capability to work independently on assigned tasks and accept direction.
• Strong work ethic and self-motivation.
• Operate with high integrity, maintaining positive relations with co-workers, customers, and suppliers.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Coursework in metalworking, blueprint reading, drafting, and math.
• Two years of machine operating experience.
• One or more years of CNC router operation experience.
• Experience with Mastercam.

Work Environment

The work environment is a comfortable warehouse, though not climate-controlled. It features heaters in the winter, while large fans circulate air in the summer. The dress code includes jeans, a t-shirt, and steel-toed shoes. Shifts available include 2nd shift from 2pm-10:30pm and 3rd shift from 10pm-6:30am, with Fridays open for overtime. The company is a smaller, local organization with around 35 employees.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $49920.00/yr.
