Working under direct supervision, the Temporary Accounts Payable Analyst will be responsible for accurately and efficiently leading the company’s accounts payable process to ensure the timely recording of all invoices/credits and its payment. The AP Analyst will survey all general expenses and identify cost-saving initiatives in alignment with the department’s goals & KPI’s. Employees in this position may interact with their leader several times a week to receive guidance and feedback. Most non-routine activities may require their leader’s advance approval, but routine decisions within the general scope of the role may be made independently.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitor AP inboxes to ensure all invoices are received into AP system without errors.
  • Supervise the OCR system to ensure invoices are scanning accurately and exporting to the appropriate systems for processing.
  • Alongside the Team, manage 2000+ active vendor accounts as it relates to AP.
  • Review and process a high volume of invoices through a 2-way match and validate proper account coding and classification before routing out for payment approval.
  • Reconcile vendor aging statements on a weekly/monthly basis to keep the portfolio of accounts in good standing.
  • Work with vendors and internal stakeholders involved to resolve pricing and quantity discrepancies between invoices, purchase orders, and receipts.
  • Complete ad-hoc projects as assigned.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE)

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting or at least 2-3 years of experience in accounting at mid-large sized companies required.
  • Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Experience with ERP or other accounting applications: SAP and Ariba experience is desirable.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS (JOB SKILLS, ABILITIES, KNOWLEDGE)

  • Possess good communication skills with a proven track record of providing great customer service with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative approach to business and problem solving.
  • Demonstrates ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Proficient with MS Office programs such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.

King's Hawaiian operates in a hybrid environment. We are in the office Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, and we work remotely on Thursday and Friday.

This is a temporary role with an expected duration of 3 to 5 months.

The pay range for this position is $26.68 to $38.70 per hour.
