The impact you will have in this role:

Being a member of the Financial Reporting & Accounting, the position will lead the team in meeting their highly critical and time sensitive daily responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the reconciliation processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance, and assist in leading the team to achieve departmental goals. This role requires strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Supervise and support the preparation and review of account reconciliations, ensuring that general ledger account balances are verified against the underlying source/transaction systems, sub-ledger, or other pertinent documentation. Identify and resolve reconciling differences.
  • Proactively identify root cause of reconciliation exceptions and recommend remediation actions.
  • Monitor aged items and escalate as needed.
  • Collaborate with the manager and peers to support efforts on standardization and quality assurance initiatives.
  • Assist in implementing system changes and identify impacts to the team.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and drive to implementation.
  • Partner with stakeholders to identify valuable information and reports for their respective units.
  • Contribute and actively participate in internal and external audit reviews. Execute follow-up action items and internal control recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance of the team with DTCC policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Support the manager with special projects, workflow enhancements, and ticket resolutions.
  • Understand and assist on the month end close activities done by the team for accounting.
  • Facilitate presentation of reconciling items with the stakeholders on a monthly call.
  • Align risk and control processes into day-to-day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk.
  • Escalate appropriate issues to upper management.
  • Promote a positive team atmosphere and ensure completion of daily critical tasks to achieve team objectives.
  • Identify development opportunities on the team and implement coaching plans to improve team skillset.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Help manage daily team operations.
  • Assists in ARCS administration and KPI reporting.
  • Aligns risk and control processes into day to day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk; escalates appropriately

Sounds Like You?

  • Minimum of 6 years of related experience
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience

Talents Needed for Success:

  • At least 5 years of solid finance and accounting work experience in a multinational shared service computerized environment
  • At least 4 years of which dedicated in handling general ledger and financial reports.
  • Preferred with supervisory or team lead experience.
  • Capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, with strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • CPA license would be an advantage but not required.
