A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Senior AutoCAD Application Specialist (f/m/d), you will engage in daily stand-up meetings to align on goals and clarify questions, followed by strategic updates from leadership. Your focus will be on assigned “User Stories,” where you apply your expertise to tackle challenges, optimize applications, and develop new features. Collaboration with Product Owners and exchange with business owners is key to refining requirements and ensuring solutions meet user needs. Finally, you will document progress in Azure DevOps and plan for the next day, fostering a productive and cohesive team environment.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Serve as the primary point of contact for all AutoCAD-related topics within the internal team.
• Maintain continuous communication with development teams to identify new requirements and features for engineering applications and systems.
• Introduce and integrate new functions and features into the architecture of the engineering design tool.
• Implement new functions, modules, and features, ensuring testing and documentation.
• Provide support for development and configuration in the AutoCAD environment while serving as a knowledgeable resource for customers regarding application usage.

What You Bring

• A degree in mechanical engineering, computer science, mathematics, electrical engineering, physics, or a related field, with long-term experience as an AutoCAD specialist being preferred
• Many years of experience working in agile development teams, collaborating with process specialists and solution architects
• Advanced knowledge of Autodesk products, particularly AutoCAD and its derivatives
• Experience in developing CAD interfaces for applications such as Creo, NX, and AutoCAD
• Proficient in DevOps tools, especially Azure DevOps; Knowledge of BIM and CAD data formats are a plus
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken, German language skills at B1 level; additional language skills are an advantage
