Job Description
Manages and oversees the staff, supervisors manager in support of day-to-day Infrastructure Operations. Collaborates with Network, Database, Application support and vendors to solve operational issues. Provides leadership for direct reports and collaborating technology operations teams during outages and incidents. Provides monitoring specifications and maintenance procedures in line with best practices for technology operations.
Job Responsibility
- Provides leadership to Infrastructure Services team members, supervisors and managers by communicating and guiding toward achieving department objectives.
- Manages budget expenditures for teams and large projects.
- Develops, communicates, and builds consensus for goals in alignment with the health system.
- Selects, develops, manages and evaluates direct reports; ensures performance appraisals are completed in a timely fashion.
- Collaborates with applications and infrastructure teams as lead technical advisor in providing expertise and oversight for the enterprise clinical health system architecture, integration, compatibility and customization as well as design development and health system implementation, for assigned technology platform.
- Guides direct reports to work with applications and vendor teams to understand infrastructure capacity and environment requirements.
- Reviews existing clinical application health systems infrastructure and provides input to design and engineering for improvement in stability and detection of events.
- Works with Project Management Office (PMO) to deliver project on time and within budget; develops infrastructure capacity and deployment schedules to accommodate planned health system upgrades and projects.
- Oversees testing strategies, testing, troubleshooting and validation strategies for operational health systems, applications and components.
- Reviews change management requests including configuration, service packages, emergency changes and upgrades for critical clinical health systems.
- Reviews and approves production turnover from engineering and vendors for new and upgraded applications and health systems.
- Manages the development of processes and procedure for technical staff with focus on development of SOP’s for Operations Center (OC).

Job Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
- 6-10 years of relevant experience and 5-7 years of leadership / management experience, required.
Hughly Preferred Skills:
- Expertise in defining and delivering a Zero-trust strategy
- Experience securing AI systems and models, preferably in the healthcare sector
- Experience with security assessment scoring systems and their application to provide enterprise-wide insight across cloud, hybrid, and on-premise environments
- Experience in evaluating vendors, designing for systems integration, and planning for delivery of key security capabilities like secrets management, privileged access management, and passwordless authentication
- Deep knowledge of cloud security (GCP preferred), application security, network segmentation, identity and access management, and data protection
- Deep knowledge of compliance frameworks such as HIPAA, HITRUST, and NIST CSF
Highly Preferred Experience:
- Define and drive the security architecture strategy aligned to Northwell’s clinical, operational, and digital transformation goals
- Develop and evolve security reference architectures and blueprints for cloud, hybrid, and on-premise systems
- Establish architecture standards, guardrails, and reusable patterns to support secure design across enterprise initiatives
- Co-lead security design reviews and threat modeling exercises for major initiatives
- Support secure enablement of GCP and cloud-native services through the Cloud Center of Excellence, with a focus on scalable and automated security controls
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior technology leaders and business stakeholders on emerging threats, secure architecture tradeoffs, and cloud security postur
