Job Title: Pipe Welder

Job Description

Join our team as a Pipe Welder where you will utilize your expertise in welding stainless steel and carbon steel piping using TIG (GTAW) and STICK (SMAW) processes. You will be responsible for interpreting blueprints, isometric drawings, and welding symbols to perform precise layout, fit-up, and welding of pipe systems. Your role includes conducting visual inspections and quality checks on welds while collaborating with pipefitters, foremen, and project managers to ensure project deadlines are met.

Responsibilities

  • Perform welding of stainless steel and carbon steel piping using TIG and STICK processes.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and welding symbols.
  • Execute layout, fit-up, and welding of pipe systems to exact specifications.
  • Conduct visual inspections and quality checks on completed welds.
  • Collaborate with pipefitters, foremen, and project managers to meet project deadlines.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum 5 years of experience with stainless steel and carbon steel piping systems.
  • Proficiency in TIG and STICK welding techniques.
  • Ability to pass weld tests.
  • Strong understanding of pipe welding tools, equipment, and safety protocols.
  • Capability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is preferred.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Summerville, South Carolina.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
