Produce and deliver software for embedded controls systems in the ESNM organization utilizing an agile framework. Design, develop, and implement Physics and Controls requirements to continuously improve software for mechatronic controls and diagnostics strategies as well as controller communication. Test and demonstrate software functionality and readiness. Supply common solutions across all GM owned software. Document requirements for design solutions and link them to test cases to demonstrate software functionality. Utilize automated test tools in build environments, benches, and vehicles to verify functionality of the feature at the Controller, System and Vehicle level. Provide leadership to Agile Scrum team members to deliver software solutions. Lead, coordinate, and collaborate with departments outside VMEC such as Systems and Safety, Electrical Architecture, Software Defined Vehicle, Calibration and Vehicle Performance. Provide a voice in software planning events, share ideas and learnings, and help teach/train others. Document lessons learned and Best Practices for controls design implementation. Utilize Problem Resolution Tracking System (PRTS). Hybrid Work Policy - 3 days In-office, 2 days remote. Must be able to report to listed local office.5% travel required to client sites nationwide.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field of study. Five (5) years of experience as a Software Engineer, or related occupation. Five years of experience with the following: C, C++ programming and unit testing using frameworks including CppuTest. Three years of experience with the following: Java, Matlab, DOORS, GIT environment, Simulink, Python scripting, ETAS INCA, Rhapsody, Lauterbach Trace32, plant modeling, and analysis tools; Sub-system integration including design, implementation, and testing; and Hardware in the Loop testing using dspace environment. Two years of experience with the following: Conversion of Auto Code Generation; Experience with bootloader, embedded operating systems, controller communication and diagnostics; and AUTOSAR standards and methodology. One year of experience with: SPI communication protocol.
