What You Will Do

We're searching for a Software Audit and Compliance Analyst to champion the creation and execution of a robust framework for monitoring our purchased software and tools. In this critical role, you'll be the expert at identifying and mitigating financial, operational, and compliance risks, developing smart corrective actions, and clearly reporting your findings to leadership.   • Conduct audits and risk assessments of organization-wide software licenses and installations.
  • Develop and implement an audit and control framework for monitoring software licenses, including regular reporting to senior management, licensing team, and legal team.
  • Identify and evaluate risks (financial, operational, compliance) and recommend mitigation strategies and corrective actions to upper management.
  • Work closely with a wide variety of subject matter experts to produce tools and processes supporting software license compliance.
  • Support compliance efforts, such as Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), FedRAMP, etc- where applicable.
  • Participates in projects to implement AI-based systems for enhanced software license compliance and audit readiness.
  • Enforce adherence to requirements and advise management on necessary actions.
  • Provide data and risk assessments to maintain Trimble's prohibited software list.
  • Research the use of unsupported software and assist internal organizations in finding alternatives.
  • Manage internal compliance projects and support external audits.
  • Querying multiple Trimble data sources to build compliance reports and track use of prohibited software.

What Skills & Experience You Should Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Finance with an IS/IT minor, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in software license auditing.
  • Familiarity with multiple open source license models.
  • Strong ability to communicate findings clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Professional demeanor with strong collaboration, open-mindedness, and agility when interacting with vendors, internal organizations, and team members.
  • Expertise in enterprise infrastructure and software, relational databases.
  • Willingness to evaluate AI-based approaches to compliance and audit readiness.

About Trimble’s Information Services Audit Department

Trimble Inc.'s Information Services Audit Team is integral to the company's commitment to robust internal controls, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence. Operating within the broader Internal Audit function, the team focuses on evaluating and enhancing the effectiveness of information technology systems and processes that underpin Trimble's global operations.

In a hybrid role, you will work with your manager to establish a mutually agreeable schedule for your time working in the office based on the position and the business need. Typically hybrid positions are 1-3 days per week, or 20%-60% of the month in the office.
