Purpose & Scope:
The Assistant Director, Strategic Field Force Deployment Field Activation Omnichannel Solutions is a business critical leadership role responsible for developing and driving field activation strategies that align with omnichannel marketing objectives to enhance healthcare professional (HCP) engagement. This role requires strong strategic leadership and collaboration with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and scale Next Best Engagement (NBE) solutions, ensuring seamless integration with Veeva systems. By leveraging data-driven insights and key performance indicators (KPIs)—such as engagement levels, utilization rates, and sales lift—the Assistant Director will lead teams to deliver measurable outcomes, optimize field performance and contribute to the organization’s success.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Develop and spearhead multi-year strategic plans and omnichannel portfolio strategies for field force deployment and activation, aligning with organizational goals and driving measurable outcomes through clearly defined KPIs and success metrics.
- Oversee development and deployment of Astellas NBE Program for all franchises. Complete ownership of NBE program roadmap, execution, accuracy and measurement.
- Oversee the evaluation of program ROI, sales performance and execution metrics, ensuring field activation and omnichannel campaigns exceed expectations and deliver scalable, data-driven impact.
- Direct the development, analysis and presentation of omnichannel, non-personal promotion (NPP), and field force deployment success metrics, providing actionable insights to executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Define and lead the strategy for user satisfaction, usability metrics, and feedback loop effectiveness (e.g., response times, utilization rates), ensuring field tools and platforms empower sales representatives to engage healthcare professionals (HCPs) seamlessly.
- Leverage engagement and channel effectiveness metrics to assess omnichannel performance, driving continuous optimization of content, channels and tactics to achieve strategic objectives.
- Lead the design, implementation, and scaling of NBE solutions, tracking adoption rates and impact metrics to ensure alignment with engagement goals and long-term business success.
- Build strategic partnerships with omnichannel, NPP, brand and field technology leaders (e.g., Veeva teams) to align field engagement strategies with brand vision and ensure seamless technical integration.
- Guide the organization toward integrated, data-driven engagement models by anticipating industry trends, advocating for innovative technologies, and realigning strategies based on performance data and market insights.
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences or a related field
- 10+ years of experience in pharmaceutical sales, marketing or field force operations, with a preference for roles involving omnichannel strategies
- Strong understanding of omnichannel marketing strategies and Next Best Engagement (NBE) concepts
- Experience with CRM systems, particularly Veeva
- Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation, with a focus on KPIs and performance metrics, such as engagement rates, sales impact, user satisfaction, campaign ROI, etc.
- Excellent project management skills, able to handle multiple initiatives simultaneously and demonstrated ability to lead and operate in a self-directed independently driven environment
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, essential for working with SFFD partners, cross collaboration stakeholders, brand leads, technology teams and external support functions
- Ability to translate strategic plans into operational tactics, aligning with the role's focus on operationalizing solutions
- Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry, HCP behavior, and regulatory compliance, ensuring alignment with industry standards
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with digital engagement tools and user experience design, enhancing the role's focus on user-friendly interfaces
- Familiarity with AI/ML applications in marketing and engagement strategies
- Previous experience in implementing NBE or similar data-driven engagement programs
