Job Summary
As a Senior Design Engineer at Superior Industries, you'll play a key role in the design and development of custom crushing equipment from concept to manufacturing. This role offers the opportunity to get hands-on involvement in design analysis, testing, prototyping, cross-team collaboration, and mentoring—offering comprehensive engineering involvement in the product life cycle and impact on the aggregate industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate product design and development for crushing equipment used in processing bulk material and aggregates
- Design and detail custom crushing equipment
- Perform design analysis for components
- Create drawings and bills of material that are accurate and contain all information required by production
- Lead product development projects
- Perform testing and prototyping of new products
- Evaluate and implement design changes
- Provide support to sales and service teams
- Mentor other team members on crusher specific design principles
- Other duties as assigned
Compensation
The starting pay range for this position is $80,000 to $100,000. Final compensation will depend on various factors including: skills, industry experience, and location.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related education
- Applicable experience in Crushing Engineering
- FEA, Stress analysis, or other simulation experience
- Complete understanding of machine design, and core operating principles of cone crushers, jaw crushers, and Impact crushers
- Experience in the field with commissioning equipment and troubleshooting
- PE License preferred
