DESCRIPTION
We are seeking an experienced Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead the development and implementation of manufacturing processes for advanced thermal management solutions in data center infrastructure. This role will focus on mechanical cooling systems, working cross-functionally to drive innovation, improve production efficiency, and ensure quality standards while scaling operations.

Key job responsibilities
- Lead the development and optimization of manufacturing processes for thermal management products and cooling systems
- Drive Design for Manufacturing (DFM) initiatives with product development teams to ensure manufacturability and cost effectiveness
- Develop and implement process controls, quality systems, and manufacturing specifications
- Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for manufacturing issues
- Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to qualify new processes and materials
- Manage capital equipment projects and facility improvements related to manufacturing thermal products
- Provide technical leadership to peers, junior engineers, and manufacturing teams
- Create and maintain manufacturing documentation, including work instructions and process specifications
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs and improve quality metrics
- Working with drafters to create detailed 3D CAD models and technical drawings using Solidworks/CAD software, incorporating GD&T principles.
- Evaluate and provide feedback on solutions being developed, ensuring adherence to material properties and processing standards.
- Leverage knowledge of anti-corrosion protection methods and material joining technologies to guide design decisions.
- Design and implement fixtures, tooling, and automation solutions to improve production processes.
- Work with internal and external teams to drive PFMEA reviews.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or related field.
- 8+ years of manufacturing experience in material processing technologies, including sheet metal bending, laser cutting, or punching.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and lean manufacturing principles
- Strong understanding of material properties and characteristics.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- In-depth knowledge of anti-corrosion protection methods and standards.
- Proficiency in material joining technologies and their applications.
- Familiarity with cooling products and equipment is an advantage.
- Proven track record of implementing process improvements and cost reduction initiatives
- Experience with CAD software and manufacturing simulation tools
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s or PhD in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering
- Experience with data center infrastructure or mission-critical cooling
- Manufacturing engineering experience, with focus on mechanical/thermal systems
- Experience with thermal management systems, heat exchangers, or HVAC manufacturing
- Prior experience working with an interdisciplinary team to execute product designs from concept to production.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience managing or leading projects.
- Advance Manufacturing Training/Exp; Lean Manufacturing, VSM, Six-Sigma
- Experience in New Product Design/Process FMEA and Control Plan.
- Experience with automation and robotics integration

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $128,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $212,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
