Metropolitan Animal Emergency and Specialty Clinic is now hiring a CSR to join their team!
The right candidate is a motivated team player with 1yr of customer service experience. Must demonstrate strong communication skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced, energetic environment, dedicated to promoting & fostering a positive, healthy work environment. As a CSR, you are the first point of contact for clients. It is imperative that you are informed, polite, & professional at all times.
POSTION SUMMARY
The purpose of this position is to ensure that client service excels at MEAC and that our clients always have a positive interaction with our hospital. The CSR must demonstrate strong communication skills as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced, energetic environment. As a CSR, you are the first and last point of contact for clients and are key to creating lasting, positive impressions. The responsibility of a CSR is to perform primarily clerical tasks and provide miscellaneous support to the team. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to, answering phone calls in a timely matter, cash processing, data entry, appointment scheduling, maintenance of veterinary medical records, providing accurate information to clients and staff, maintaining the upkeep of the hospital. It is imperative that you are informed, polite, and professional at all times.

- To keep the hospital organized to ensure a smooth and efficient hospital flow
- Maintain up to date knowledge on services, programs, financial and insurance to help meet every client’s needs
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITES
- Provide friendly, quality customer service to the patients and clients of Metropolitan Emergency Animal Center at all times
- Promptly receive incoming calls, emails, and questions.
- Provide accurate information to the clients as well as hospital staff
- Follow all Thrive and hospital policies and procedures
- Check clients in and out in a professional manner
- Create and maintain updated records for each client and patient
- Assure all financial obligations are met by clients. Collect deposits, fees, make change, process credit card transactions, process Trupanion insurance claims, Scratchpay, and Carecredit. Assist is cash box counts, making deposit slips, and running End of Day
- Refer clients to different programs for financial help; Care Credit and Scratchpay
- Assists in ordering by adding to Order List
- Restocking the front lobby (coffee station, candles, sprays, pill pockets)
- Perform a variety of clerical duties, receiving, sorting, distributing mail, sending out mail, organizing reception area
- Work well with MEAC’s team and ensure your actions support the hospital, doctors, clients, and patients
- Complete and maintain daily cleaning check list
- Perform other duties as assigned
REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Possession of strong organizational skills
- Exceptional interpersonal communication skills. Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of hospital procedures and operating instructions for making appoints, creating/ maintaining patient medical records, relaying information regarding patient’s condition
- Knowledge of meaning of commonly used terminology of veterinary medicine
- Knowledge of computers and relevant software applications including MS Office, Ezyvet, and Smartflow
The CSR works under the direct supervision of the CSR Manager and/or Veterinary Practice Manager, who will indicate general assignments and priorities. Recurring assignments are performed independently.
