As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, you will help us continue running our applications smoothly as our business scales. What you’ll do as a Senior Site Reliability Engineer:

  • Work with infrastructure as code using tools like Chef and Terraform
  • You will design and implement monitoring and alerting strategies to enforce application SLOs
  • Enable product teams to manage and self-serve on-prem and cloud infrastructure while ensuring platform stability.
  • You will foster a continuous deployment ecosystem that allows DraftKings to operate at a massive scale.
  • Standardize configuration and deployment methodologies across our growing organization
  • Share expertise and mentor junior SREs in infrastructure patterns and standards
  • Participate in our on-call and incident response teams to solve critical problems in production

What you'll do:

  • 5+ years of experience working with cloud environments and provisioning automation
  • Deep understanding of common scripting languages (Python, Ruby, Go).
  • Experience working with applications written in an object-oriented language (Java, .Net, etc.)
  • Deep knowledge of networking and web concepts enabling you to debug problems down to the packets
  • Experience working with distributed systems and microservices
  • Understanding of automated scaling concepts
  • (SRECP) Strong experience with Containers and Kubernetes design, administration, and operations for both cloud and on-premises environments (ex. EKS or Rancher)
  • (SRECP) Hands-on experience on Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform and Chef, and be able to advocate good practices and processes on provisioning and configuration management

We’re a publicly traded (NASDAQ: DKNG) technology company headquartered in Boston. The US base salary range for this full-time position is 128,000.00 USD - 160,000.00 USD, plus bonus, equity, and benefits as applicable. Our ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The compensation information displayed on each job posting reflects the range for new hire pay rates for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
