Georgia-Pacific’s Gypsum division is seeking to add a well-qualified Senior Process Controls Engineer to work on our team to design, deploy, and optimize high value initiatives across the Gypsum division. This role will not only work to transform our business but also build relationships with site personnel to enable and support the sustainability of the systems deployed.
The Sr. Process Controls Engineer will be Remote with up to 50% travel.

What You Will Do
Maintain data connectivity from site automation, equipment, and sensors to Pi serversResponsible for the installation, commissioning, and sustainability of key process sensorsTrain site personnel on the proper method and process for performing preventive/corrective maintenance and validation procedures for key process sensors.Responsible for the development and implementation of visualizations for internal customers using ignition perspectiveOwn the creation and ongoing improvement of documentation for digital process optimization and process sensor systems, ensuring specifications, manuals, and standard operating procedures are clear, accurate, and enable effective use by all stakeholdersDirectly support the deployment and optimization of various robotics systems and vision technologies in order to capture key operational improvements
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
Five (5) or more years of hands-on engineering experience within a manufacturing operation or commensurate industry experienceAbility to effectively work and communicate with subject matter experts (SMEs) and facility resources in Automation and Digital Process Optimization, Electrical and Process Controls Capabilities, Maintenance and Operations, and various other capabilities.Strong organization skills, problem solving, sense of urgency, customer focus, and team building.Self-driven with the ability to manage and prioritize different opportunities as they come up in keeping with division/site priorities.Hands on Robotic Cell programming/commissioning/maintaining (Yaskawa, Fanuc or equivalent)Hands on experience with vision system software/hardware (Cognex Insight, Keyence Vision Editor or equivalent)Experience in Automation or Process Control (PLC programming, including drives, Process Control Networking, HMI/SCADA Maintenance and Design).Experience using Microsoft Office Tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Autodesk.Minimum of two (2) to three (3) site visits per month or as required by business needs
What Will Put You Ahead
For this role, we anticipate paying $140,000- $150,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
