Northrop Grumman Space Systems – Launch and Missile Defense Systems has an exciting career opportunity for a Sr Principal Engineer Systems – Global SE Interface Lead (25-078) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be in Colorado Springs, CO., or Huntsville, AL.
Position Overview:
The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program integrates the Missile Defense System. It serves as a vital operational system that enables the U.S. president, secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations, monitor the development of the battle collectively, and dynamically manage designated networked sensors and weapon systems to achieve global and regional mission objectives. C2BMC supports a layered missile defense capability that facilitates an optimized response to threats across all ranges in every flight phase. C2BMC acts as a force multiplier, globally and regionally networking and synchronizing autonomous sensors and weapon systems to enhance performance. C2BMC is essential for all system ground and flight tests, verifying and demonstrating the capabilities of all current and future missile defense systems.
This position will be assigned to the C2BMC-G Systems Engineering Team within SEIT. This is a Systems Engineer role, which will occasionally require support for non-interface systems engineering activities. The C2BMC-G Interface Lead will manage a small team of Interface engineers in the development of ICDs and IDDs. This involves establishing new interfaces between external elements, including space and terrestrial sensors, to facilitate seamless integration. As the lead of the interface team, the Interface Lead will ensure that issues and challenges within the team are resolved and that the ICDs and IDDs created by the team meet the necessary standards required by the program.
Essential Functions:
Salary range in Huntsville: $131,100 - $196,700
Salary range in Colorado Springs: $124,900 - $187,300

Salary Range: $124,900.00 - $196,700.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
