Are you a technical expert in injection molding looking to take the lead in a dynamic, fast-paced environment? Join our team as a Plastic Process Engineer - 2nd Shift and drive excellence in safety, quality, and efficiency while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver outstanding results.

In this role, you'll serve as the go-to technical resource, tackling challenges and ensuring smooth operations in injection molding processes. You'll lead continuous improvement initiatives, foster collaboration, and mentor production teams—all while contributing to the development and launch of innovative new products.

How You'll Create Possibilities

  • Process Expertise: Optimize, troubleshoot, and maintain injection molding operations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Implement Lean practices, reduce waste, and enhance overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
  • Team Leadership: Train and guide production teams to achieve operational excellence.
  • Problem Solving: Collaborate with Production, Tooling, Maintenance, and Quality teams to address challenges and implement effective solutions.
  • Process Documentation: Develop, maintain, and update process standards, control plans, and quality protocols.
  • Innovation: Contribute to new product launches, mold development, and advanced technology implementations, including RJG systems and robotics.
  • Vendor Collaboration: Partner with equipment suppliers and OEMs to integrate best practices and lessons learned.

What You'll Bring to Our Team

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or related discipline OR equivalent hands-on experience in technical/manufacturing disciplines
  • 5+ years in injection molding
  • 5+ years with experience in RJG (Edart and Copilot)
  • 5+ years with experience in Robotics and EOAT’s
  • Extensive Experience with mold sampling, mold flow functionality and scientific molding practices
  • Strong ability to motivate others, develop creative/innovative techniques to effectively communicate training objectives, and enable successful transfer of skills and address current training needs.
  • Must be a self-starter with initiative, capable of working independently and be able to proactively communicate trends within the business.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours and overtime.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills in regard to injection molding

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BS degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering
  • RJG certified and understanding in EDart and CoPilot
  • Experience in programing Robots, Automation and design of EOAT’s
  • Experience with implementing Lean process improvement in a manufacturing operation
