Brief Position Overview
The Business Operations Manager is a crucial part of helping to manage the business operational infrastructure within the new Student Wellness Center. We are seeking to hire two individuals to work in either Campus Recreation or Counseling and Psychological Services. The Business Operations Manager will report to the Director of the selected department, either Campus Recreation or Counseling and Psychological Services Candidates can express their interest in either position.

General Statement
The new Student Wellness Center (SWC) is a 165,000 square foot facility that opened in August 2024. The new facility enhances the integrated and holistic model of student health and wellbeing at MSU. Campus Recreation, Counseling and Psychological Services, and Student Health Services are the three departments of Student Wellness. Two of the departments, Campus Recreation and Counseling and Psychological Services, are seeking a highly organized and motivated individual for the Business Operations Manager role within each department.
The Business Operations Managers oversee the day-to-day business operations of the department. This position is responsible for high-level administrative, human resources, payroll, fiscal, purchasing and compliance functions as well as general office management and functions.
