High Voltage Test Engineer

The High Voltage Test Engineer works on electric vehicle (EV) power modules, which are key components that help control and deliver electricity from the battery to the motor. This engineer ensures these modules are safe, reliable, and perform well by developing and running specialized electrical tests.

Must-Have Qualifications

  • Engineering degree (preferably in electrical or electronics).
  • 5+ years of experience in testing or working with high-voltage systems.
  • Hands-on experience with electrical testing equipment (like oscilloscopes, power supplies, etc.).
  • Strong problem-solving and data analysis skills.
  • Good communication skills—they’ll need to explain technical issues clearly.

???? Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience in EV or high-voltage electronics manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with semiconductors like IGBTs or SiC devices.
  • Understanding of test fixtures, probes, and safety standards.
  • Knowledge of automotive quality processes (like FMEA, APQP).
  • Ability to mentor junior engineers and work across teams.

????️ What You’ll Be Doing

  • 40%: Supporting the launch of new power module products—making sure testing processes are ready and safe.
  • 30%: Helping develop the technology and equipment needed for testing.
  • 20%: Supporting new business opportunities by evaluating testing needs.
  • 10%: Solving production issues and supporting corporate goals.

  • Mix of office, factory, and cleanroom settings.
  • May involve domestic and international travel.
  • Will use computers, electrical testing tools, and analysis software.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $87065.00 - $125576.00/yr.
