A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Mainframe Developer position:

Position type: Full-Time, Contract(W2)

Duration: 12+ Months

Location: Charlotte NC

As a Mainframe Developer, you will:

  • Participate in low to moderately complex initiatives and projects within the technology domain, including installation, upgrades, and deployment efforts.
  • Identify opportunities to improve service quality and availability within the technology domain environment.
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document for low to moderately complex projects and programs, including upgrades and deployments.
  • Review and analyze technical assignments or challenges related to low to medium risk deliverables, requiring research, evaluation, and selection of alternative technology domains.
  • Present recommendations for issue resolution or escalate issues as needed to meet established service level agreements.
  • Exercise some independent judgment while developing an understanding of the given technology domain in reference to security and compliance requirements.
  • Provide information to technology colleagues, internal partners, and stakeholders.
  • Analyze business requirements and develop COBOL software to specifications.
  • Understand Mainframe infrastructure, security frameworks, and risk standards.
  • Verify program logic by overseeing the preparation of test data, testing, and debugging of programs.
  • Lead the migration of programs to production.
  • Develop new documentation and participate in the development of department technical procedures.
  • Assure code quality, security, and compliance requirements are met.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Required software engineering experience in Mainframe.
  • A solid working knowledge of the software development life cycle (SDLC).
  • An understanding of mainframe coding standards, best practices, and RACF security.
  • Expertise in mainframe scheduling using CA7.
  • Working expertise in the following mainframe technologies: Job Control Language (JCL), DB2 databases, Network Data Mover (NDM), IBM Mainframe Utilities, Virtual Storage Access Method (VSAM), System Display and Search Facility (SDSF), Custom Information Control System (CICS), and IBM SPUFI.
  • Ability to work both independently and in collaboration with internal/external teams to implement and troubleshoot issues.
  • Worked with building and maintaining enterprise-scale API and batch job processing.
  • Change and Incident Management expertise utilizing ServiceNow.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:

Pay Range*: $50-53/hr.

  • Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
