GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Product Performance and Quality Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring that products meet the highest standards of performance, reliability, and quality throughout their lifecycle. This individual collaborates cross-functionally with product development, manufacturing, supply chain, and customer service teams to collect and analyze data from the field, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Part of the Quality Assurance team, the PPQ Engineer is responsible to contain and resolve issues related to manufacturing processes, as well as other area such as R&D or Supplier’s quality, that affect our final products performance and compliance, and customers satisfaction.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Receive and register complaints reported by PPQ team in Head Office
Conduct root cause analysis of quality issues
Establish contention plans with cross-functional teams
Develop long term corrective and preventive actions
Coordinate the implementation of corrective actions with the multidisciplinary team
Measure effects of corrective actions before and after implementation
Ensure control and sustainability of corrective actions
Review Control Plan
Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, and suppliers to ensure quality is built into the design and production process
Prevent recurrence of similar issue in other areas or processes
Generate quality documentation including inspection reports, validation protocols, deviation reports, and technical summaries.
Report and communicate progress of action plan
Escalate risks identified and support needed
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or related field (Master’s is a plus)
Certification such as Six Sigma Green/Black Belt is a plus
Language:
80% fluent in English speaking/writing/reading
Experiences in:
5+ years of experience in quality engineering, product performance analysis, or a related role
Manufacturing environment
Quality Control
Product Design
Customer Service
Knowledges:
Manufacturing processes
Mechanical/Electrical drawings and GD&T
Product compliance and regulatory requirements
Quality Processes and Tools such as, but not limited to:
QMS
Quality Core Tools (APQP; FMEA; MSA; SPC & PPAP)
Six Sigma methodology
Problem Solving (8D; 5 Why; Pareto Analysis)
Continuous Improvement
Skills & Abilities:
