Job Title: Tool Maker

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Tool Maker to manage the assembly and disassembly of existing tools, handle tool repairs, and troubleshoot tooling using Cad and Solidworks software. The role involves working with multi-cavity, single-cavity, and two-cavity tooling, as well as tool polishing and cleaning using an ice blaster.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and disassemble existing tools.
• Repair tools using manual mills, lathes, drill presses, surface grinders, and cylindrical grinders.
• Troubleshoot tooling using Cad and Solidworks software.
• Polish and clean tools using an ice blaster.
• Perform daily troubleshooting and problem-solving to ensure presses and machinery are operational.
• Use inspection tools to ensure parts meet specifications.

Essential Skills

• 5+ years of experience in mold or tool-making.
• Proficiency in using manual mills, lathes, drill presses, surface grinders, and cylindrical grinders.
• Experience in Cad or Solidworks programming.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in tool and die, toolmaking, tooling, die repair, and plastic mold making.
• Knowledge of manual mills, manual lathes, and drill presses.
• Familiarity with mold programming.

Work Environment

Work in a clean and climate-controlled tool room equipped with manual and CNC machines. You will be part of a dedicated team consisting of 10 tool makers and engineers.

This is a Permanent position based out of Vadnais Heights, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $87000.00/yr.
