Direct Hire Tool and Die Maker
Minneapolis
1st Shift up to $41.40
2nd Shift up to $42.40
Must join union at 60 days of employment
Responsibilities:
- Designs, builds or repairs intricate and complicated tools, dies, gauges and fixtures to extremely close tolerances.
- Performs difficult development work and builds tools where no designs are available. Proficient with multi-station progressive dies and intricate compound dies.
Qualifications:
- Proficient with all tool room machine operation including CAD/KEY designs, CNC lathe and mill tool path creation, WEDM programming and operation.
- Requires high degree of experience and trade skill and thorough knowledge of all toolroom practices and technologies.
- Effective English skills, both written and spoken or signed (ASL)
- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, use math and use handheld measuring tools – manual caliper & micrometer (YouTube how to use)
- Ability to follow documented processes and standards
- Demonstrated orientation to quality and attention to detail
- Comply with all safety policies and procedures
