Mechanical Engineer
Summary:
Mechanical Engineer is responsible for work with other professionals in order to improve preventive maintenance, reduce the incidence of costly breakdowns and develop strategies to improve overall reliability and safety of RY plant related to mechanic.
Responsibilities Include:
- Develop preventive maintenance & predictive maintenance program for both rotating and static equipment. Improve reliability of equipment.
- Develop preventive maintenance task list of each equipment as per supplier’s recommendation and/or affiliate sharing
- Ensure repair task at root cause and on time in the acceptable state of repair
- Provide leadership, coaching and direction to team in all aspect of their work in order to ensure EHS compliance, such as work permit, JSA, MOC and etc.
- Process Hazard Analysis requires that engineers and maintenance leaders analyze the consequences of safety failures.
- Ensuring regular employees and contractors are well-informed of the hazards they face such as known potential fire, explosion or toxic release hazards related to the contractor’s work and the process.
- Review your safety procedures every time to perform pre-startup for both new and modified facilities. This rule applies even if the procedural changes only affect a single component or process.
- Ensuring the operators are periodic, documented inspections are required for several systems, including Pressure vessels, Storage tanks, Piping systems, Ventilation systems
- Needs to issue permits to employees and contractors who weld or perform other high-temperature work near covered processes.
- Ensuring each change also requires the following considerations: 1) The technical basis for the change. 2) The impact of the change on worker safety and health. 3) Necessary modifications to operating procedures. 4) The necessary time period for the change. 5) Authorization requirements for the proposed change
- Perform monthly safety walk in maintenance area and gap completion
- Monthly review work order analysis – mechanic
- Monthly review cleaning task to improve cost and reliability
- Reduce breakdown and recurrence work order by leading Root Cause Analysis - mechanic
- Coordinate for Skill knowledge development – mechanic for maintenance & production team
- Work with vendors to source part and substitute part with more economical options to improve equipment functionality
- Lead continuous improvement effort using lean manufacturing principle
- Monitor, coordinate and manage contractor during construction, installation and commissioning phase
- Coordinate, issue BOQ and ensure CAPEX spending according to budget and execution according to schedule.
- Support ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 and MPM guideline
Qualifications:
The following are required for the role
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineer.
- Background in Mechanical engineer with 2-3 years of experience
- Computer literacy and
- Good command of English communication
- Safety consciousness
- Ability to solve problem via advanced technical knowledge, complex analysis and theory testing
- A record of success in implementing lean manufacturing concepts for continuous improvement
- Strong attention to details and skillful in handling preventive maintenance
- Deliver reliability maintenance program
- Good Team player
