Position: Accounts Receivable Clerk

Status: Full -Time

Summary:

Maintain proper credit procedures in the hotel in accordance with local and corporate policies and procedures. Control and monitor prompt and accurate billing and collection of all accounts receivable items in order to maintain the lowest possible outstanding accounts at all times.

Responsibilities:

Job duties include but are not limited to:

  • Maintain proper credit procedures throughout the hotel in accordance with both local and Four Seasons Hotels Limited policies and procedures regarding billing, collection, credit cards, inquiries, cheque cashing etc.
  • To process and post all cheque payments to City Ledger on a daily basis.
  • To prepare the reconciliations for all accounts receivable including credit cards on a timely basis.
  • To prepare and ensure that all corporate invoices and statements for outstanding C/L accounts are printed and mailed on timely basis, that rates are charged according to the contracts and to follow-up timely on collection.
  • To ensure that all inquiries from guests or credit card companies are handled promptly (same day if possible) and professionally including the documentation and preparation of adjustments if necessary.

Skills/Qualifications:

Ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks at the same time
  • Assist in other areas of Accounting or Residential departments as needed
  • Require knowledge of and the ability to operate computer equipment, Microsoft Office Suite software, Opera, Sun Accounting Systems, and TimeshareWare
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English
  • Previous accounting experience is preferred
