Assists cv lab staff with stress testing as instructed - Places electrodes, maintains records, assists in moving or transporting patient, takes blood pressure and assists with cleaning up and equipment maintenance as instructed. Attaches holder monitor following established procedure - Explains procedure to the patient and gives. Selects appropriate electrode sites and attaches electrodes and lead wires securely. Cleans and maintains equipment following established procedure. Accurately completes patient record and documentation. Prepares and calibrates reorder properly. Completes required hours of continuing education. Meets attendance and punctuality requirements - Attends CV Lab staff meetings and other approved seminars. Completes annual recertification in: Basis Life Support, Fire Safety, Back Care, Infection Control. Reports to work as scheduled, arriving by the start of the scheduled shift. Has not more than three (3) unscheduled periods of absence in a six-month period. Complies with meal and break policies. Other performance requirements - Communicates effectively with patients, other employees and physicians. Performs other duties independently or as requested by the supervisor or department directors. Hospital resources time and materials are used efficiently and responsibly. Keeps work areas neat and clean. Equipment is stored in designated areas and traffic corridors are kept free from obstruction. Performs ekg’s and completes associated clerical functions following established procedures - Verifies the test is ordered and explains procedure to patient. Records diagnostic-quality EKG including proper placement of electrodes. Distributes EKG’s after interpretation is complete. Cleans and maintains equipment following established procedure. Identifies requesting and interpreting physician. Completes clerical functions by puling patient previous EKG’s and placing in physician e-box for interpretation. Assures that EKG’s in EKG computer and hospital computer system are ordered and resulted properly.
Education
High School Diploma or GED required
Experience
1-3 years of Healthcare/Medical - Healthcare – Other with direct patient care preferred
Certification & Licensures
BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) - American Heart ‘Healthcare Provider’ (HCP) - AHA approved required

Able to function in a hospital environment and learn skills required to perform prescribed tests on
patients of all ages including the neonate, child, adolescent and geriatric patient
