Job Title: Process Engineer

Job Description

The Process Engineer will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving the operational reliability of glass manufacturing equipment. You will lead root cause analysis resulting from equipment failures and drive the implementation of solutions and corrective actions. Collaborating closely with department members, you will identify and drive continuous improvement and compliance to productivity goals.

Responsibilities

  • Lead root cause analysis of failures and drive the implementation of corrective actions.
  • Originate, develop, and facilitate analysis methods for determining the reliability of components and equipment.
  • Monitor the execution and effectiveness of preventive maintenance programs, identifying deficiencies and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in maintenance programs.
  • Provide leadership and technical support to cultivate a proactive maintenance service department.
  • Design, develop, and implement equipment changes that will correct reliability, improve productivity, enhance efficiencies, and increase quality product yield.
  • Establish reliability and work planning metrics/KPI’s to monitor performance and improvement such as PM, MTBF, MTTR, etc.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or relevant technical field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in Engineering or similar technical field required.
  • Familiarity with PFMEA, Pareto analysis, 5Y, SPC, CMS, and standardized work instructions.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with Fanuc robots and robotic cells is a plus.

Work Environment

The work environment involves glass manufacturing, specifically tempering and forming glass for different types of windshields. The facility contains ovens, making some areas warm, but it remains extremely clean with minimal dirt. This position requires you to be on the floor and on your feet the majority of the time, rather than in a desk job setting.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.67/hr.
