The Manufacturing Engineer will collaborate closely with project management to support installations, new launches, and special or capital projects within the Electric Motors Department. This role is critical in executing engineering strategies and overseeing new product launches. The engineer will work to develop priorities and objectives in cooperation with site management teams and ensure their successful implementation while driving continuous improvements throughout the plant. Proficiency in Solidworks and CAD is essential for this position.
The role operates primarily on the first shift from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with flexibility based on consultant needs. The engineer will spend 80% of their time on the floor and 20% in the office, equipped with a cell phone to respond to various calls. The facility includes cleanroom environments with some areas lacking temperature control. The role requires sitting or standing for extended periods, with occasional lifting or moving of up to 50 pounds. The engineer should be prepared to work 40-50 hours per week to support new product launches and may need to travel up to 5% domestically and internationally as required. The plant's large size means walking over 10,000 steps a day is likely. Steel-toed boots are mandatory on the manufacturing floor. Employees enjoy 10 days of accrued PTO and 6 paid standard holidays.
The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $40.87/hr.
