ServiceTitan, a remote first company, is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help us build the next generation of our operating system for the trades. This is an exciting role for an engineer to work on the voice and messaging platform of our product. We build for product excellence, use the most modern tools on Microsoft .NET platform, have an amazing culture, and love to solve complex problems. You will be primarily responsible for designing and implementing new features for the telephony and messaging platform components that are used as part of our product. This will primarily involve working in C# on microservices and service-oriented architecture. You will work with Product, Design, and Quality Assurance to develop scalable, rock-solid, production ready features. You will be expected to iterate rapidly while delivering high-quality output.

What you'll do:

• Architect, design, and implement telecom and messaging feature functionality.
• Work with product managers, designers, and engineers to prototype and implement product features.
• Communicate effectively with other engineers, product managers, customers, and partners.
• 70% development / 30% working on requirements, mentorship, supervision.

What you'll need:

• 7+ years of industry experience
• Experience designing and implementing real-time applications
• Experience shipping applications in a containerized ecosystem (such as Kubernetes)
• Experience with an event streaming technology (such as Kafka, Kinesis, etc)
• Expert-level knowledge of:
  • Microsoft .NET technology stack (C# / .NET, Web APIs, Azure), SQL databases (MSSQL Server, Postgres, etc), and Document databases (MongoDB, CouchDB, etc)
  • Continuous integration and continuous delivery methodologies and tools (Github Actions or similar)
  • Experience creating or maintaining JSON Web APIs backed by relational or document databases in any strongly-typed backend development framework. Should be comfortable with performance tuning for real-time applications, Dependency Injection and ORM concepts
• Understanding patterns for modularization and decomposition as they relate to microservices
• Experience with telephony and SMS / MMS functionality is a large plus
• Ability to use a data-driven approach for product decisions.
• Strong communication and technical writing skills
• Experience with Git, unit testing, debugging, profiling, Visual Studio, JIRA, and other tools that are typically used by developers on Microsoft technology stack

ServiceTitan is committed to fair and equitable compensation for all of our employees. We thoughtfully consider a wide range of factors when determining individual compensation. The expected salary range for this role for candidates residing in the United States is between $151,100 USD - $202,100 USD. Compensation for candidates residing outside the United States will vary by location and the specific salary range will be discussed during the hiring process. Actual compensation for an individual may vary depending on skills, performance over time, qualifications, experience, and location. In addition to the base salary, the total compensation package also includes an annual bonus, equity and a holistic suite of benefits.
