Job Description

Are you ready to lead critical infrastructure projects that power industries and communities? We're looking for a Senior Mechanical Project Engineer to join our high-performing Energy and Natural Resources team in Perth.

In this role, you'll take ownership of complex multidisciplinary projects that support mining, oil & gas, and clean energy sectors. You'll collaborate with contractors, consultants, and clients to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality outcomes in some of the most challenging and rewarding environments in the industry.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Lead Projects: Oversee project assurance and manage consultancy assignments for major clients.
  • Engineer Solutions: Design and develop infrastructure across process and non-process areas.
  • Drive Innovation: Identify opportunities for value engineering, innovation, and cost savings.
  • Manage Budgets: Monitor project budgets and forecasts and prepare clear, timely reports.
  • Provide Expertise: Offer technical guidance to on-site teams and coordinate with contractors and suppliers.

Qualifications

To be successful in your application, we are looking for the following:

  • Work Rights: You must have the right to work in Australia.
  • Qualifications: A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: At least 10 years in a similar role, ideally within a similar consultancy environment. Experience managing or coordinating teams is highly valued.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of engineering design, documentation, and project administration.
  • Project Expertise: Deep understanding of the full project lifecycle - from concept through to completion and into operations.
  • Attributes: Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. You're detailed-orientated, proactive, and thrive in a collaborative environment.
