Meduit is hiring Medical Collections Representatives to work onsite in our Indianapolis, office location. Meduit partners with hospitals and physician organizations to call their consumers to discuss outstanding receivables, negotiate arrangements and settlements on their outstanding debts. We combine a state-of-the-art accounts receivable management model with advanced technologies and an experienced people-focused team that takes a compassionate and supportive approach to patient engagement.

Position Overview

Support our healthcare partners & help them thrive at Meduit! As a Medical Collections Representative, you’ll play a vital role in recovering outstanding balances on behalf of our clients, helping to support the financial health of healthcare organizations and enabling them to stay focused on delivering exceptional patient care. This position is focused on collecting delinquent and past-due accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all policies and procedures and understand company handbook
    • Attendance
    • Call Scripts
    • Account Flow
  • Remain knowledgeable of and comply with all federal and state laws regulating debt collection, ethical guidelines and standards established by Meduit, and guidelines and rules of telephone etiquette
  • Identify and understand consumer needs and wants
  • Proactively resolve all consumer accounts in a professional and courteous manner
  • Utilizes tools, including computer programs, when indicated
    • FACS System
    • Excel/Word
  • Provides excellent customer service and timely response to consumer questions and issues
  • Answers questions by phone and identify financial resources, etc. in accordance with the client policies and procedures
    • Payment arrangement length
    • Settlement Parameters
    • Minimum payment requirements
  • Work as a team player to meet both personal and group Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)
    • Updating Time
    • Right Party Contacts
    • Occupancy Rate
    • Average Payment
    • Gross Recovery/Fees
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • H.S. Diploma/GED
  • Have a positive attitude and demonstrate teamwork
  • FACS or Collect One system experience not required but a plus
  • Computer skills required
  • Familiarity with healthcare, medical insurance, and medical terminology although not required is helpful

Additional Information

  • Pay: $14-16/hr based on experience
  • Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week
  • Location: 8085 Knue Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46250
  • Anticipated start date: 7/14/2025
  • Paid Training: 3 weeks
  • Background check: As a condition of employment, a pre-employment background check will be conducted
