In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will:
Circuit Design: Design electrical protection circuits within mixed signal circuit designs to meet intrinsic safety requirements as per international safety standards (IECEx, ATEX, UL, CSA). Work closely with PCB designers to ensure layout meets IS requirements (creepage, clearance, thermal). Perform detailed component selection, circuit analysis, and failure mode analysis (FMEA).
Mechanical/System Design: Interpret and directly apply product safety standards to mechanical system designs.
Collaborate: Work with marketing, CAD, test, and certification engineers and project managers to create new products that meet global safety requirements.
Champion Designs: Craft compelling technical justifications that showcase and validate products safety features
Create: Initiate new parts drawings, product drawing packages, production process sheets, and quality control test plans.
Who You Are:
You thrive in the face of challenges and setbacks. You communicate credibly and transparently, solve problems creatively, and establish common objectives with a shared approach. You articulate the vision in a way everyone can relate to.
For This Role, You Will Need:
BE in Electronics Engineering or related level of experience plus certifications or demonstrated experience in analog and digital circuit design.
Working knowledge of low-level analog, filter, signal processing, and microcontroller circuit design
Ability to work in a laboratory environment including defining, setting up, troubleshooting, and completing required tests
Total 5+ years of relevant professional experience.
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
6+ years’ experience developing product architecture, embedded mixed signal circuitry, schematic capture, circuit analysis, and PCB layout with 3+ years of experience in IS design and compliance/certifications.
Ability to perform complex circuit analysis and experience in Intrinsic Safety or similar applications.
Strong knowledge of intrinsic safety principles and standards (IEC 60079, ATEX Directive, UL913).
Experience with low-power analog and digital design, isolation techniques, and protective components.
Experience with Agile Product Development.
Experience with Intrinsic Safety and Flameproof/Explosion-Proof Approvals
Technical expertise in both electrical and mechanical development.
