Insperity Services, L.P. DBA Insperity seeks a Solutions Architect to work in Kingwood, Texas. The job duties include the following:

Responsible for solution design and implementation, including: participate in discussions with product owners, business analysts and domain experts to determine requirements and model business processes; use empirical data to assess architectural requirements/constraints such as security, scalability, performance, availability, and redundancy; ensure physical and logical designs fit within lnsperity's enterprise architectural framework and accepted architectural standards; identify necessary interactions with other applications/services and defines message exchange patterns, data contracts, and service level agreements (SLA); formulate and evolve pattern-based designs appropriate for the solution with a clear separation of concerns and grow and evolve the design, ensuring the integrity of the design is maintained over the course of a project; bring consensus amongst developers on design and implementation strategy; publish technical documentation such as high-level design, logical diagrams, and support documentation based on need and value; write code and critique developers' code; measure various code metrics like Maintainability Index, Cyclomatic Complexity, Depth of Inheritance and Class Coupling, and refactors code as needed to attain better metrics; ensure designs and implementations fulfill not only functional needs but also non-functional needs such as security, maintainability, extensibility, testability, stability, configurability, and supportability; work with teams to improve application health, performance, and supportability; and participate in technical and leadership trainings as needed and/or recommended by supervisor.

Responsible for architectural strategies, including: engages in architectural review of others' designs and implementations; provides architectural guidance on solution design and integration strategies, in the form of standards documentation, examples, training and consultancy; participates in government/stewardship of architectural patterns and definitions; and engages with Enterprise technology stakeholders in evaluating and adopting technology, platform, and tools. Telecommuting/remote work permitted.

The position requirements are as follows:

Minimum Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.

Minimum Experience:

  • 84 months of post baccalaureate experience with solutions design, including 84 months of experience in each of the following:
    • Using design patterns and principles;
    • Object-oriented design (OOD);
    • REST API, JSON, XML, and XSLT;
    • AGILE/SCRUM methodologies; and Agile modeling.

Special Requirements:

  • Solid grasp of service-oriented architecture (SOA);
  • Architectural concepts and the fundamentals of good software design;
  • C#;
  • Microsoft frameworks, particularly .NET, ASP.NET/ASP.NET Core, MVC, WebAPI, WCF, WF, and Entity Framework or other ORM;
  • SQL Server, T-SQL, and relational Concepts;
  • SPA frameworks like Angular, JavaScript, AJAX, jQuery, or HTML; and security aspects like OWASP and static code analyzers like SonarQube.
  • The solid grasp will be determined based on the interview and passage of a test.

Travel Requirements:

  • Travel to Kingwood, TX at least twice a year for project, training, and team building. Telecommuting/remote work permitted.
