CDW is seeking a seasoned Network Architect with deep technical expertise in OSPF and BGP to design and implement robust, scalable network infrastructures. This role is pivotal in translating complex business requirements into cutting-edge network architectures, ensuring seamless connectivity and optimal performance across enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advanced Routing Protocols: Lead the design and implementation of enterprise-scale networks utilizing OSPF and BGP, ensuring optimal routing, redundancy, and scalability.
- Network Architecture Design: Develop comprehensive network solutions that align with business objectives, incorporating best practices in routing, switching, and security.
- Collaboration and Leadership: Work closely with cross-functional teams to define network strategies, standards, and future-state roadmaps. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers.
- Performance Optimization: Conduct thorough network assessments to identify bottlenecks and implement solutions that enhance performance and reliability.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed documentation of network designs, configurations, and changes to ensure compliance and facilitate troubleshooting.
Required Qualifications:
- Extensive Routing Protocol Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with OSPF and BGP in large-scale enterprise environments.
- Cisco Networking Expertise: Proficiency in Cisco LAN/WAN and Data Center technologies.
- Network Design and Implementation: Demonstrated ability to architect and deploy complex network solutions that meet business needs.
- Automation Skills: Experience with network automation tools and scripting languages to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CCNP or CCIE are highly desirable.
Desired Experience:
- Meraki and Cisco DNA Center (DNAC): Experience with Meraki platforms and Cisco DNA Center is a plus but not required. Familiarity with integrating Meraki devices into enterprise networks and utilizing DNAC for network automation and assurance can be beneficial.
- Security Protocols: Familiarity with network security protocols and best practices to ensure secure network operations.
- SD-WAN and ACI: Exposure to Software-Defined WAN (SD-WAN) solutions and Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI) is a plus
