What you will do:

Project Coordination & Interface

  • Serve as the main coordinator for interfacing between stakeholders such as:
    • Equipment end-users – Gather full machine specifications, ESH requirements (internal & regulatory), actual footprint, technical information, and process utilities (e.g., CDA, vacuum, power, DI water, vibration, noise, temperature/RH, waste).
    • Facilities disciplines – Coordinate with Civil/Structural, Mechanical (HVAC), Electrical, WWTP, and ESH teams.
    • IT Team – Determine IT/network specifications and ensure alignment with internal and regulatory requirements.
    • Industrial Engineering/Draughtsman – Collaborate on layout planning and present final layout proposals for stakeholder approval.

2. Tender Preparation & Costing

  • Work with Facilities Operations, ESH, and IT teams to generate Bill of Quantities (BQ) and support tender documentation.
  • Assist the Project Owner with financial planning including budgeting, IO creation, and timeline estimation.
  • Prepare detailed cost proposals after alignment with all internal stakeholders.

3. Stakeholder & Area Management

  • Coordinate with Area Owners and Industrial Engineering to ensure the defined scope is clear, including production-related items that may need to be relocated with minimal disruption.
  • Align internal timelines across Facilities, ESH, and Equipment Users.
  • Develop a final Gantt chart covering all required scopes (Civil, HVAC, Electrical, WWTP, ESH, IT).

4. Authority Liaison & Compliance

  • Initiate and follow up on approval processes with local authorities such as Bomba, TNB, SAINS, MBS for CCC and other regulatory certifications.
  • Ensure all project activities comply with ESH policies and local statutory requirements.

5. Project Execution & Monitoring

  • Track project milestones against the approved Gantt chart, ensuring timely execution.
  • Identify deviations (e.g., VO requests, delays), and present mitigation plans for management approval.
  • Lead project readiness assessments, including alignment of equipment delivery with schedule commitments.
  • Oversee testing, verification, and handover activities with all related departments.

6. Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain comprehensive records of project documents including layouts, RFIs, VO requests, commissioning reports, buy-off data, and local authority approvals.
  • Prepare and present progress and readiness reports in regular project meetings.

What you will need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in cleanroom or semiconductor facilities environment
  • Well-versed in local safety regulations, including Bomba, DOSH, and DOE requirements.
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in project planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and risk management.
  • Certifications in energy management, WWTP, or electrical (Wireman/Chargeman) are an added advantage.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage complex and high-pressure projects.
