About The Role

The Senior Instructional Designer will design and deliver innovative, multimodal learning solutions aligned with adult learning principles and best practices. You will collaborate with subject matter experts to assess learning needs, develop complex curricula, and utilize a variety of formats—including instructor-led, virtual, microlearning, gamification, and multimedia—to support initiatives such as onboarding, inclusion, compliance, and career development.

This role requires a demonstrated ability to rapidly develop engaging content using AI design tools and other multimedia resources, ensuring accessibility and mobile optimization. You will serve as a consultant to internal partners, providing expertise in curriculum design, evaluation, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver engaging, multimodal learning experiences using the ADDIE model and adult learning principles.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to assess needs and translate them into effective learning strategies.
  • Develop complex curricula across diverse formats, including microlearning, gamification, videos, and simulations.
  • Incorporate AI tools (Synthesia, ChatGPT, Copilot, etc.) for rapid content development and innovation.
  • Create supporting materials such as graphics, assessments, and media to enhance learning engagement.
  • Develop evaluation tools to measure learning effectiveness and impact.
  • Serve as a strategic partner to internal teams, providing guidance on curriculum design, evaluation, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure learning solutions are optimized for mobile devices and accessible to all learners.

Our Ideal Candidate Would Have:

  • 5-7 years of instructional design and development experience, preferably in corporate or healthcare settings.
  • Proven experience in using AI-powered design tools (Synthesia, ChatGPT, Copilot, etc.) for rapid content creation.
  • Strong portfolio or website showcasing your best work in multimedia learning experiences.
  • Experience designing engaging videos, graphics, simulations, gamified content, and mobile-optimized learning resources.
  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Adult Education, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of instructional design models (ADDIE), adult learning theory, and assessment methodologies.
  • Proficiency with authoring tools (Articulate Rise/Storyline, Adobe Captivate, etc.) and graphic design software (Adobe Creative Suite).
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong project management skills and experience working within a large, matrixed organization.
  • Certification such as CPLP is a plus.
