Raytheon’s Systems Integration and Test, Naval Weapons Department is seeking a senior principal systems integration and test engineer to support growing needs. The individual will lead a small team of individual contributors supporting integration and test activities.

What You Will Do

  • Lead a team of 10 or more individual contributors and sub-team leads
  • Evaluate, manage, document and communicate risks for all test events
  • Mentor and guide team members in field testing execution and analysis
  • Provide technical and schedule direction for the field testing to include:
    • Prepare detailed plans (task objective, expected output, budget requirements and schedule for projects)
    • Interact with program counterparts as an authority on field testing
    • Review deliverables for soundness of technical judgment and adequacy
  • Produce documentation related to field test event objectives and outcomes
  • Develop and document best practices for test events for use by other portfolio programs
  • Work with program leadership to secure adequate funding for tools maintenance, test equipment maintenance and technical growth of team
  • Active TS/SSBI clearance required

  • Exposure to the role of the Test Architect
  • Candidate will gain technical leadership experience as a part of the core engineering leadership team overseeing and coordinating field testing

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in STEM and 10 (ten) years prior relevant experience
  • Experience supporting integration and test events
  • Experience writing acceptance, integration and performance test plans

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience leading missile integration, DVT, Qual, and/or flight tests
  • Experience integrating telemetry and coordinating with the Platform Integration and Flight Test team
  • Experience handling missile pedigree for DVT, Qual, and/or flight tests
  • Experience performing Consent to Power reviews, Hardware Acceptance Reviews, Consent/Permit to Ship Reviews, & Test Readiness Reviews
  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) and IMS development for Integration and test
  • Strong organization, coordination, planning, teaming skills, as well as written and oral communication skills
  • Experience troubleshooting systems using test equipment such as data acquisition systems, oscilloscopes, bus analyzers, logic analyzers, network analyzers, and/or spectrum analyzers

The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
