Job Title: Electrical Design Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a talented Electrical Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role focuses on hardware, electrical, and design aspects, distinct from Controls/PLC programming. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with the panel shop and be involved in the design of control panel layouts using CAD software.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems and control panel layouts.
• Collaborate closely with the panel shop to ensure accurate designs.
• Utilize CAD software, such as RUPLAN, for electrical design tasks.
• Ensure compliance with UL and NEC standards.
• Travel up to 15% across North America, including Canada, to customer sites.

Essential Skills

• 1-5 years of experience in electrical design and control panel layout.
• Proficiency in electrical CAD/design for control panel layout.
• Basic knowledge of control panel design and eagerness to learn new software.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 2 or 4-year degree in Electrical Engineering or Automation.
• Experience with any ECAD system (EBase, Eplan, AutoCAD, etc.) is a plus.
• Experience in cabinet layouts is a plus.
• Knowledge of UL 508A local electrical standards is a plus.
• Must be willing to travel 10%-15%

The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
