Driving operational excellence within the US and Canada revenue cycle, the Revenue Operations Manager ensures the efficient and accurate execution of critical functions, including customer account management, collections, and revenue accruals. This individual is also responsible for the strategic oversight of the receivables’ insurance portfolio and the timely submission of comprehensive A/R reporting for both local and global stakeholders. A key objective is to guarantee the completeness and accuracy of all revenue data streams.
What You’ll Do:
Revenue Accuracy and Reporting:
- Oversee the day-to-day revenue accounting for various revenue streams, including the boutiques revenue process, ensuring accurate and timely capture of all sales in accordance with ASC 606.
- Review and approve all revenue accrual and adjustment entries, maintaining the integrity of revenue recognition.
- Take ownership of reviewing monthly P&L drafts to validate revenue accuracy and completeness.
Accounts Receivable Management:
- Provide comprehensive oversight of the full-cycle accounts receivable process
- Conduct thorough monthly reviews of A/R balance sheet account reconciliations, identifying and detailing risks and opportunities (R&Os) based on analysis.
- Lead and facilitate monthly A/R review meetings with the finance management team and the related stakeholders, providing insightful updates and analysis.
- Oversees the process of researching, resolving, and responding to customer chargebacks and disputes in a timely and accurate manner, aiming to minimize financial losses.
- Lead the annual bad debt review process in partnership with the Controller, providing comprehensive analysis and recommendations.
- Spearhead the consolidation of global A/R reporting and timely submission to LVMH’s P&C Credit Management team, ensuring adherence to group requirements.
Receivables Insurance Management:
- Serve as the primary liaison with the AU Group and Coface on all matters related to the A/R insurance portfolio.
- Include proactive management of the Cofanet portal for global coverage.
- Collaborate closely with the Controller and Finance team to analyze Coface coverage for customers, providing critical insights and commentary to support strategic decision-making.
- Manage designated aspects of Coface for Benefit's international markets under their guidance.
Internal Controls and Compliance:
- Partner strategically with the Internal Controls Manager to develop, implement, and maintain robust internal controls over the revenue cycle.
- Conduct regular monthly, quarterly, and annual reviews to proactively ensure team adherence to established internal controls and identify areas for improvement.
- Partner with the General Ledger (GL) team to guarantee timely adherence to all tax compliance requirements.
Team Management & Development:
- Lead, mentor, and develop the accounts receivable team, fostering a high-performance and collaborative work environment.
- Set clear performance expectations, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance reviews for direct reports.
- Support the professional growth and development of team members through coaching and training opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required, 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, with a significant focus on revenue accounting and accounts receivable. Equivalent experience may be accepted.
- 1-2 years of experience leading people required
- Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), specifically ASC 606
- Strong knowledge of the full revenue cycle process, from order entry to cash collection
- Understanding of financial statement analysis and revenue-related key performance indicators (KPI's)
- Experience working with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
- Understanding of accounts receivable insurance policies and procedures (e.g., Coface)
- Experience working with external auditors on revenue-related audits
- Experience in developing and implementing revenue accounting policies and procedures is a plus
- Experience with system implementations or upgrades related to revenue recognition is a plus
Schedule:
- Hybrid - requires onsite presence weekly to a Benefit Office
The target salary range for this position in California is $100,000 - $130,000 annually. The actual salary offered is based on market location and will depend on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, years of relevant experience; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job. This position is eligible to earn an annual bonus.
