As a Mechanical Engineer Sr., you will:

  • Support the Mk7 programs various Integrated Product Teams (IPT) serving as the primary interface between design to manufacturing to push the closure of non-conformances.
  • Generate and release design disclosure using CAD software
  • Work under the direction of the IPT leads and mechanical engineers to research, design, analyze, and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems including mechanisms and ordnance.
  • Support technical trade studies and design maturation efforts
  • Participate in quality hardware defect/issue resolution and develop solutions to technical problems of varying complexity while assuring sound technical content and timely execution
  • Develop, review, and maintain engineering documents, specifications, and technical analyses necessary to support product build and testing activities
  • Collaborate with manufacturing personnel on design for manufacturing and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience in Mechanical Engineering, or related technical discipline with knowledge of mechanical engineering concepts and processes
  • Experience in scheduling and communicating between the design and production teams
  • Ability to work in a reciprocal and team-based environment
  • Willingness to travel when required.
  • Ability to obtain a Government issued security clearance, must be a US Citizen

Desired Skills:

  • Active Security Clearance
  • Experience designing mechanisms and/or structural & mechanical products
  • Experience with non-conformance resolution
  • User of 3D CAD software, preferably CREO
  • Familiar with releasing drawings in EPDM 9.1
  • Project leadership experience
  • Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
  • Experience with higher DSR modeling (DSR4-6)
  • Experience executing Trade Studies
  • Experience throughout engineering lifecycle (system definition, design, build, test and operational deployment)

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Clearance Level: Secret

These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
