The Work
We are seeking a Lead Engineer to support the Naval Helicopter Program (NHP) with a focus on resolving Problem Trouble Reports (PTRs) tracked through a JIRA database. This role involves direct support for the Avionics Systems Integration Lab (ASIL), Helicopter System Development Lab (HSDL), and Software Development Lab (SDL), with potential to expand support to other operational labs.
Key responsibilities include:
Ensuring labs are properly configured, fully operational, and test-ready.
Troubleshooting and resolving lab-related issues in real time.
Upgrading lab infrastructure in alignment with evolving program requirements.
Providing technical guidance and hands-on support to lab test teams.
Communicating regular status updates to the Lab Manager.
Supporting integration and validation activities across multiple lab environments.
This is a dynamic, hands-on role that combines systems thinking, problem-solving, and team collaboration.
Please note:
This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD government clearance at the Secret level.

Basic Qualifications:
4 year degree: Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in a related STEM field with 9+ years of professional experience or Masters degree with 7 years related professional experience.
Ability to read schematics.
Familiarity with JIRA.
Experience with Microsoft Office products.
Ability to work overtime and/or off shift when required.
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD government Secret clearance.
Desired Skills:
Experience with military aircraft avionics and mission systems.
Bachelor of Science Engineering, computer science/electrical engineering.
Self-starter and motivated.
Prior lab experience.

For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
