Who We Are Looking For:

We are looking for a mechanical engineer with deep expertise in automation systems and a passion for innovation. The ideal candidate is methodical, hands-on, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You should be comfortable working across disciplines and taking initiative to drive projects forward.

Primary Accountabilities – The Researcher Will:

• Design, develop and build mechanical components and systems for lab automation prototypes.
• Apply systematic engineering methods including requirements engineering, conceptualization, design reviews, and optimization.
• Present mechanical concepts and designs to internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with electrical and software engineers to ensure system integration.
• Support innovation projects and contribute to the development of new technologies.
• Take on additional responsibilities and tasks as needed, such as supporting to maintain proper lab operations.

What You Bring:

• Master’s or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics or Physics.
• 5 – 8 years of experience in relevant industries such as Life Sciences or component development for industrial automation.
• Highly experienced in the use of CAD software, preferably PTC Creo.
• Proven experience in rapid prototyping and mechanical system development.
• Experience in use of PTC CodeBeamer advantageous.
• Knowledge of systems engineering, including electrical wiring and basic PLC programming advantageous.
• Proficient in use of MS Office 365 products.
• Fluent English and strong intercultural communication skills.

The annual base pay range for this role is between $105,000 -$130,000.
