About the Corporate Development & Strategic Partnerships team

Gen Digital's Corporate Development & Strategic Partnerships team is part of the core leadership team that drives the future strategic direction of the business. The team's core responsibility includes developing a long-term strategic roadmap, analyzing market activity, sourcing, evaluating, building relationships with target companies, and executing an inorganic roadmap (strategic partnerships and M&A transactions).

We are seeking a high-performing Corporate Development MBA Intern to join our team for Summer 2025. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience working on high-impact projects that inform Gen’s long-term growth strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and understand Gen’s strategic objectives, as well as industry trends to identify, recommend and pursue companies/technologies that can meet those objectives
  • Conduct research and analysis on potential areas for expansion and targets for partnership or acquisition
  • Build financial models to evaluate the potential impact of proposed transactions.
  • Prepare presentation materials and proposals to communicate recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders.
  • Lead cross-functional teams (product, finance, compliance, legal, accounting, etc.) to drive the deal closing process.
  • Review existing strategic partnership contracts for potential areas of expansion, cost optimization, and renewal opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing MBA (1 year completed) from top-tier institution
  • Demonstrated analytical skills, fluency in performing rigorous financial, valuation and other quantitative analyses
  • Demonstrated experience influencing and communicating effectively across all levels and teams across the organization
  • High degree of intellectual curiosity and a passion for technology, cybersecurity, and fintech
  • Prior experience in investment banking, consulting, private equity, venture capital, or corporate development / strategy a plus
