You Are:

As the AI/ML Solutions Architect for UST you come with deep telecom domain experience focused on direct engagement with telecom clients, understanding their operational pain points, conceptualizing AI-driven solutions, and delivering proof-of-concepts (PoCs). You are a hands-on collaborator with experience working with offshore AI teams and product engineering to productize transformational TelcoOps solutions.

The opportunity:

  • Interact directly with UST telecom clients at the “C” level to identify AI opportunities in network operations, service assurance, and customer experience.
  • Analyze client operations and propose targeted AI/ML solutions that improve reliability, efficiency, and automation of TelcoOps.
  • Design and develop quick proof of concept to validate solution hypotheses, leveraging available AI models, frameworks, and telecom datasets.
  • Represent UST SmartOps in Telco AI discussions, industry events, and customer workshops.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a bridge between onshore engagements and the offshore AI research and development team based in India.
  • Contribute to Productization: Feed insights from client engagements into the SmartOps platform roadmap, ensuring AI capabilities align with real-world Telco operations challenges.

What you need:

  • At least 5 years of experience in AI/ML, with at least 3 years focused on telecommunications networks or OSS/BSS systems.
  • Strong understanding of telecom standards and frameworks such as TM Forum, 3GPP, or ETSI ENI.
  • Hands-on experience with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, and foundation models - LLMs like GPT, BERT, Llama, Gemini.
  • Experience deploying AI for Telecom operations use cases: fault prediction, anomaly detection, intelligent ticketing, network optimization, or customer behavior modeling.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based AI platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and Operations workflows.
  • Proven track record of delivering proof of concept or pilots directly to clients, with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field

Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.

Role Location: Bellevue, WA hybrid remote

Compensation Range: $145,000-$186,000

Benefits

Full-time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year), 10 paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty. They are eligible to participate in the Company’s 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer matching. They and their dependents residing in the US are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as the following Company-paid Employee Only benefits: basic life insurance, accidental death and disability insurance, and short- and long-term disability benefits. Regular employees may purchase additional voluntary short-term disability benefits, and participate in a Health Savings Account (HSA) as well as a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for healthcare, dependent childcare, and/or commuting expenses as allowable under IRS guidelines. Benefits offerings vary in Puerto Rico.

Part-time employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year) and are eligible to participate in the Company’s 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer matching.

Full-time temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year) and are eligible to participate in the Company’s 401(k) program with employer matching. They and their dependents residing in the US are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance.

Part-time temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year).

All US employees who work in a state or locality with more generous paid sick leave benefits than specified here will receive the benefit of those sick leave laws.
