- Proficiency with ANSYS, MATLAB, and Creo CAD software.
- Perform structural, thermal, and shock analyses using ANSYS and MATLAB to support hardware design decisions.
- Develop and maintain analysis models to simulate mechanical behavior under various loading and environmental conditions.
- Evaluate compliance with military specifications including Shock Grade B, MIL-STD-22, TP-1688, and 278.
- Apply knowledge of materials engineering and metallurgy tailored to submarine and undersea applications.
- Generate and review mechanical CAD models and detailed engineering drawings using Creo.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship on mechanical analysis tools and best practices.
- Participate in design reviews, failure investigations, and trade studies.
- Author and present clear, concise technical reports, papers, and proposals.
- Support manufacturing processes and resolve issues related to fabrication and assembly.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Experience in mechanical analysis and structural modeling.
- Proficiency with ANSYS, MATLAB, and Creo CAD software.
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, weld standards, and shock/vibration criteria.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience with Shock Grade B analysis and test correlation.
- Deep knowledge of submarine-grade materials and welding practices per MIL-STD-22, TP-1688, and NAVSEA 278 requirements.
- Experience training others on analysis tools like ANSYS and MATLAB.
- Familiarity with DoD acquisition and technical review processes.
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to lead and contribute to cross-functional engineering teams.
What Sets You Apart:
- Strong technical depth in mechanical systems analysis for harsh environments.
