Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Systems Engineer, where you will play a crucial role in developing and designing complex system parameters, including mechanical, electrical, and systems architectures. You will apply systems engineering principles to design, analyze, develop, test, and debug components and systems, creating systems architectures for complex system design and integrated operational platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and design complex system parameters, including mechanical, electrical, and systems architectures.
  • Apply systems engineering principles to design, analyze, develop, test, and debug components and systems.
  • Create systems architectures for complex system design and integrated operational platforms.
  • Research and implement military standards for subsystem interfaces.
  • Design and attend advanced government test events, including those involving multinational corporations.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to establish key performance requirements for various subsystems.
  • Translate complex subsystem information into concise metrics that can be supported through testing and analysis methodologies.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including system design specifications, integration plans, and testing procedures.
  • Use tools like Enterprise Architect, Cameo Systems Modeler, and Rational Software Architect to generate system engineering documentation.
  • Design and develop integrated systems that meet military specifications and requirements.
  • Create detailed system architectures and ensure all subsystems work together seamlessly.
  • Specify key subsystem and full system tests to demonstrate system compliance with designs.
  • Oversee the integration of various subsystems, including hardware, electrical signals, and software components.
  • Design and direct testing to ensure the integrated system meets performance and functionality standards.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • 4-8 years of experience in systems engineering

  • Highly motivated and able to work in a small, dynamic team environment

Work Environment

Work in a small engineering environment located in Fulton, MD, with an onsite lab for testing and prototyping. The role is onsite Monday to Friday, offering flexibility on start times, and provides the opportunity to support complex projects as a systems integrator for counter UAV technology.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $70.00/hr.
