In this position…

In this Technical Program Management role, you will have the opportunity to gain experience and adapt your program management knowledge and technical expertise as you guide, direct, and assist the engineering teams adopting and implementing Jira on multiple high voltage battery programs. You will be part of the engineering team, coaching the team and helping them understand and implement Jira effectively, while striving to unlock process innovation and ensure engineering work products are completed on-time. This role requires a high degree of Jira knowledge, collaboration, communication, and tolerance for change.

What you'll do…

  • Lead the Energy Storage Systems organization in transitioning to Jira and implementing it on high voltage battery engineering development programs.
  • Direct and aid battery teams in setting-up and structuring efficient Jira projects.
  • Coach and support engineering teams implementing Jira, and facilitate common, consistent best practices that ensure efficient use of Jira for HV battery programs.
  • Help teams understand and implement methodologies that make their use of Jira more effective, and provide training as needed.
  • Identify and address impediments that hinder progress, and work with teams to improve their overall performance.
  • Monitor battery program progress of tasks and deliverables against program timing, communicate status update to team leaders, and help team to identify issues and mitigate risks.
  • Lead and support development of improvements to battery engineering processes, tools, and methods, including AI applications.

You'll have…

  • Bachelor’s degree in a mechanical, electrical (preferred) or chemical engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of technical project management experience using Jira in a product development environment.
  • Demonstrated In-depth knowledge of the Atlassian suite, particularly Jira.
  • Battery mass production experience.
  • Experienced with MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Familiar with AI applications.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to provide clear explanations and directions.
  • Highly effective relationship builder, great collaborator.
  • Flexible, curious, learning mindset, able to adapt to new situations and understand and apply new information.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent organization, planning, and time management skills.
  • Tenacious and able to manage and process input/ feedback from multiple sources.
  • Enthusiastic about quality, on-time delivery, and automotive powertrain electrification.
