We are looking for a Senior Systems Development Engineer who will be a key contributor to designing, developing and supporting our complex infrastructure environment across a diverse set of technologies and applications. In this role you will assist on larger projects or run smaller opportunities independently. A successful candidate has technical depth and hands-on implementation experience of various practices and tools focus on DevOps . The Senior Development Engineer is comfortable rolling up their sleeves to design and code modules for infrastructure, application, and processes. This role will provide exposure to emerging technology including an ecosystem of robotics, industrial IoT, sensors, digital transformation systems, and mobile devices. The right candidate will be able to identify and resolve issues, automate processes, maintain service infrastructure, and work closely with cross departmental teams to achieve business objectives while ensuring platform security and reliability. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Windows, Linux and cloud platforms such as AWS, preferably in large scale, distributed environments.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of development/programming/scripting language (Python/Java/Bash/Perl) experience
• 5+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• 5+ years of experience on any Cloud Platform (AWS, Azure, Google, others).
• Excellent business communication skills and ability to collaborate
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Experience leading the design, build and deployment of complex and performant (reliable and scalable) software solutions in production

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
• Experience taking a leading role in building complex software or computing infrastructure that has been successfully delivered to customers
• Strong knowledge of AWS services such as ECS, EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda and VPC.
• Strong understanding of networking, security, and monitoring best practices.
• Experience with service-oriented architectures, private and public clouds, and web services security.
• AWS Solutions Architect Certified.
