She/he will work independently and contribute to the immediate team and to other teams across the business. She/he will lead the design discussion in a limited manner.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Execute in a fast-paced delivery mode and focus on delivering tasks to meet the product release goal
• Understand the whole product, its modules, and the interrelationship between them while being an expert in the assigned component or module
• Work with Product Leaders to understand product requirements & vision
• Identify the scope of the work, provide an initial estimate, and justify the estimate with facts
• Engage in technical discussions; participate in technical designs, and present technical ideas
• Demonstrate the ability to make informed technology choices after due diligence and impact assessment
• Design, develop, and implement AI models and algorithms for image processing in medical devices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions into medical imaging products and services.
• Conduct research to advance the state-of-the-art in AI and machine learning for medical image processing.
• Analyze and process large medical image datasets to extract meaningful insights.
• Optimize and fine-tune AI models for performance and scalability in medical imaging applications.
• Develop and maintain documentation for AI models and systems.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in AI and machine learning technologies relevant to medical image processing.
• Write code that meets standards and delivers the desired functionality using the technology selected for the project
• Maintain code quality through best practices, unit testing, and code quality automation
• Be responsible for providing technical leadership and defining, developing, and evolving software in a fast-paced and agile development environment using the latest software development technologies and infrastructure
• Seek and provide feedback on design and development
• Demonstrate an understanding of Agile software development lifecycle and be able to distinguish the core inputs and outputs in each cycle.

Education Qualification

• Bachelor's Degree in Bio-medical engineering, Computer Science, or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) with advanced experience.

Requirements:

• Strong experience and knowledge in the healthcare industry, like medical devices, medical imaging, or biomedical engineering
• Knowledge of AI applications in medical imaging, diagnostics, and predictive analytics
• Proven experience as an AI Engineer or similar role, with a focus on image processing for medical devices.
• Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Strong Experience with inference engine (Tensor RT, OpenVino, ONNX Runtime, etc.)
• Strong Experience with computer vision related CNN (classification, detection, segmentation, etc.).
• In-depth knowledge of C++, Python.
• In-depth knowledge of Object Oriented Analysis and Design, Software Design Patterns and C++/Python coding principles
• Strong experience with unit testing frameworks and automation testing tools.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
• Experience with performance profiling and optimization.
• Knowledge of large language models (LLM) and generative AI technologies
• Experience with AI ethics and bias mitigation in healthcare
